Ever Since the Staff Selection Commissioner had already released the Notification for CGL-2016 exam, aspirants have started to look out for SSC CGL 2016 Syllabus. It is worth mentioning here that SSC CGL goes online and now, you have to appear for the Exam at an online examination center. SSC announced dated for CGL 2016 and SSC also make a big change in exam pattern also.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2016
If you are preparing for SSC CGL 2016 Exam, the you have to know about the Syllabus for both the Tier-1 ,Tier-2 and Tier-3 Exams. As per revised and New pattern.
On 2nd July, 2016, SSC had announced a Notification, making some Big changes in the CGL 2016 Exam Pattern. Don't worry the Syllabus remains the same, only changes are in the Pattern, Weightage and Duration of Exam. However, CGL Tier-2 remains the same and thier added Tier-3 as English descriptive paper. Be ready its like IAS exam paper.
Tier-1 Syllabus:
In the CGL Tier-1, there will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ's) to be asked from 4 Sections wise- English , Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness.
Each section has 25 Questions and Each Question carry 1 mark.The Total Duration of Tier-1 Exam is 75 Marks. Moreover the Exam will be computer based (Online Exam) like IBPS Bank exams.
Penalty: There will be deduction of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer, that mean SSC CGL 2016 is a game of accuracy.
Tier-2 Syllabus:
Those who Pass the Tier-1 exam, can appear for Tier-2 Exam. The Tier-2 Exam will have Sections wise English and Quantitative Aptitude. And tier-2 also conducted online based.
1) Quantitative Aptitude: In the Tier-2 Exam, there will be 100 Questions from the Quantitative section and each Question carry 2 marks. The Duration of this exam will be 2 hours, that is for every question candidates have 80 sec.
2) English: This section is tier-2 Exam, will have 200 Questions , with each Question carrying 1 Mark. The Duration of this Exam is 2 Hours. In this section for every question avg. you have 40 sec.
1) Quantitative Aptitude: In the Tier-2 Exam, there will be 100 Questions from the Quantitative section and each Question carry 2 marks. The Duration of this exam will be 2 hours, that is for every question candidates have 80 sec.
2) English: This section is tier-2 Exam, will have 200 Questions , with each Question carrying 1 Mark. The Duration of this Exam is 2 Hours. In this section for every question avg. you have 40 sec.
Note: In tier-2 Exam, there will penalty of 0.50 marks for Quantitative Aptitude Sections, while there will be penalty for 0.25 marks for English Language and Comprehension.
Descriptive Paper : SSC had introduced a descriptive paper in the CGL 2016 Examination. This paper is only for those, who Qualify the SSC Tier-2 Exam
The Duration of this Paper is 1 hour only and Questions in this paper will be asked from the following sections:
1) Essay Writing
2) Letter Writing
3) Precis Writing etc
Applicants have choice to appear for Tier-1 Exam is Hindi Or English Language.
Tier-3 stage carries a weighatge of 100 marks.
